Code Blue: An Oath to the Badge and Gun Series

The Code Blue Series somehow became something bigger than me. The best way to describe it is looking at the world now and what’s going on, ...

In this journey called life, you must LOVE yourself first, there's no getting around that. If you don't LOVE yourself first, who else will? There are days you aren't going to like yourself but there's always a chance to change things to make it better. There are chances to make yourself better as a person, never forget that.

You have to LOVE yourself more than anyone or anything in the world. Don't lose sense of who you are trying to appease and please other people. The world isn't setup for everyone to be happy, it's setup to keep people down in the dumps, sad, depressed and heavily medicated. There's always money to be made from people feeling insecure and uncomfortable in their own skin.

If you're going to achieve any goals in your life and live your life to the fullest, you have to LOVE yourself first. There's no ifs, ands or buts about it so please take time to get your mind, body and soul right before you go after anything you want in life. You have to be ready for the obstacles coming your way.

You're not going to always be mentally strong everyday, that's not expected of you. We are human beings, not programmed robots. So don't expect to LOVE yourself every single day of your life. We're not going to always be at our best but we can't be down on ourselves and life for too long. We have to pick ourselves up and there's definitely nothing wrong in talking to others to have a listening ear. Have someone to talk to and confide in to get you through those tough times.

Remember, it's you that has to live with what goes on inside of your mind daily. So please make sure you're mentally good because that's a huge component of your health.

Be good everyone and go accomplish your goals!

I'm very hard on myself and all of the time. I'm honestly my own worst enemy because I have high expectations of myself. But sometimes I have to take a step back and realize I have to be KIND to myself. I have to take a mental break from it all, decompress and come back to the work I've been focused on.

Being KIND to yourself is crucial in your success in anything you do. Putting constant pressure on yourself leads to unnecessary stress and you're not always there mentally to make rational decisions. So having a clear mind allows you to complete tasks that you need to. It's okay to want great results but being hard on yourself too much can take a toll on you mentally.

It's not easy to do this when you're on a journey to prove to yourself and others that you can do it. I'm definitely all for resting yourself and recuperating when needed. Being mentally healthy is important when you are working toward something big. Whether it be a short vacation to a place you've wanted to go to, spending time with family and friends, working out, watching sports or your favorite TV show, whatever it is do it for a little while and then go back to what you're working on.

Your body always needs rest, recuperate, and recharging. Those 3 Rs will be the biggest components to how successful you'll be when the time comes. When you need a break, take it, you'll thank yourself later.

Be good everyone and go accomplish your goals!

Supporting others is one of the greatest things you can do, especially when it's someone doing the same thing you're doing. JEALOUSY will get you nowhere and it will only hinder your success. Competing with others should never be the goal. It should be competing with yourself and bettering yourself every chance you get.

JEALOUSY is one of the worst traits to have because it is only letting others know that you're not willing to work hard toward your own goals. Social media is a detriment to a lot of what goes on in the world because people can easily comment and express an opinion on a person. Some of us have snake skin and will not respond but then there are others that will affect them mentally and emotionally.

Posting about others on social media and supporting them may lead to them supporting you back. It also allows you to talk with them about the struggles they're going through on their journey and giving each other advice. So it always helps to support each other in the marathon that you're on. Most people are going through the same things you are when it comes to making it big.

The biggest thing is paying attention to the energy that others are giving back to you when you talk about what you're striving for. It's not always about you being jealous of others but people that are jealous of you. That's negative energy that you don't need to address or acknowledge, you just have to let them be. Addressing it on social media only lets them know you're paying attention to them.

Please focus on all of the positives on your journey, the JEALOUSY from others and the ones who don't really care about you, take mental notes and keep pushing forward. Continue to do your work and enjoying all that you're doing, your time is coming and your moment is coming too.

Be good everyone and go accomplish your goals!

You're definitely going to be unsure of what's to come and where you're going. Just do me a solid favor when you're going through this... embrace the JOURNEY, go with the flow and see where it takes you. I started writing books and thought that's all I would be doing. Then came writing blogs, then came podcasts, then came audiobooks for my books I wrote, then came screenplays. Next will be developing an app, and starting my author brand clothing line.

Imagine if I just limited myself to just my books and didn't fully explore other platforms to get myself out there. Some people are visual, some are audio, it all depends and I want to be on every major platform possible. I'm still embracing the JOURNEY and living in uncertainty of what's to come. I continue going and seeing where life takes me.

What I want you all to understand and know, you're blessed and talented in more than one thing. Once you realize that, sky's the limit and your career and goals will take off. People will always try to have a say in your JOURNEY but don't let them. You have to be the one that lives with the decisions you make at the end of the day.

Once you embrace the JOURNEY and let life guide you along the way, things become easier. Don't overthink too much, don't overanalyze things either. That will do nothing but hinder you from achieving what you want. You'll make bad investments, make dumb decisions and do things that you don't need to. It's all part of the learning curve and then you can pass on your valuable lessons to others.

Be good everyone and go accomplish your goals!
